PILGRIMAGES IN PORTUGAL

1. History
Fátima is a small Portuguese town located in the district of Santarém, province of Beira Litoral, Portugal.
The town became famous in 1917, when three young shepherds claimed to have witnessed a Marian apparition on several occasions. On October 13, 1917, thousands of people witnessed the miracle of the sun spinning around like a silver disc.
The Virgin Mary also delivered a message to the three children. These Marian apparitions justified the creation of the sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima.
2. Program
Each year, two official pilgrimages take place on May 13 and October 13.
However, you have complete freedom to go on pilgrimage at any other time of the year! With family or with a parish group.
The Fatima pilgrimage includes several stages. In addition to the sanctuary of Fatima, you will have the pleasure of praying in other holy places in Portugal such as Tomar, Batalha and Santarem
3. Your trip
For your comfort and safety, we favor direct flights to Portugal.
Your pilgrimage begins as soon as you arrive in Lisbon. Indeed, during the hour-long journey in the coach that takes you to Fatima, a guide will help you discover the towns and villages along the route.
Groups of 40 people or more are accompanied by a priest throughout the stay.
A doctor also accompanies the delegation.
